So with that said, here are 3 tips on how to lose weight at home in a week by exercise.
CONTINUOUSLY SHOCK YOUR BODY
When I say shock your body, I don’t mean literally electrocute yourself. That would be just plain weird. What I really mean is to have an everlasting supply of new workouts.
Why new workouts? Because it’ll keep our body guessing. Here’s the thing about the human body, it adapts to whatever stress that you apply to it. So if you do the same workout routine 1000 times, your body will find a way to adapt to it, making it easier and easier each time you do that routine.
Let’s put it this way, nothing great comes easy. Meaning you will not move forward with your weight loss goals if you continue to do an easy workout!
So what do you do? Shock your body.
As already mentioned, you need to research and find methods that can make your body uncomfortable. This can easily be achieved by simply increasing the number of reps, the sets, the weight, or even the time.
Now if you really wanted to lose weight you would have a ton more cardio conditioning based workouts in your routine. Which brings us to the next tip.
ADD MORE HIIT WORKOUTS
If you want to lose weight in a week, add HIIT workouts. And I’m not just talking about any HIIT workouts, but the ones that literally kick you in you know what.
If you don’t know what HIIT workouts are, here’s a quick rundown. HIIT refers to high-intensity interval training, which when done right, will allow you to burn more calories even after training. Sounds nice right? Well, this effect has actually been studied and is known as EPOC (the afterburner effect).
After an intense workout, our body goes into a restorative state which requires uptake of oxygen. The increased amount of oxygen utilizes energy that can last up to 38 hours after the workout. To simplify things, you burn calories after your workout.
