Use A Hydroflask To Drink More Water

6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me ShreddedIf you’ve been following my posts, you’ll know how crucial water is to lose weight, more so shred. Therefore I believe the more convenient and accessible water becomes, the better chance you’ll drink it.

That’s why I’ve developed a habit to pre-fill my Hydroflasks or any water jug the night before.

You can also go as far as filling multiple flasks and place them around the house. When you do it this way, you no longer have an excuse that you simply “forgot”.

Use Water Drops

6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me ShreddedDrinking tons of water for some can get boring. Maybe you want to drink a fruit-flavored drink but can’t afford the extra calories.

Well, that’s where water drops come in. Each serving is 0 zero calories and 0 sugar. What does that mean? It’s a win-win situation.

You’ll trick your taste buds into drinking a sweet drink while staying on track with your macros.

More so, you’ll drink tons more water this way since there’s a variety of water drop flavors.

Eat a spoon of peanut butter randomly to help with my sweet tooth and snacking

6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me ShreddedWhy do I eat a spoon of peanut butter for a snack? Because it helps reduce appetite.

In a 2009 study, 50,000 women were followed over 8 years to conclude that eating nuts regularly slightly lowered their risk of weight gain and obesity.

So if you’re a big snacker and have an uncontrollable sweet tooth, adding some peanut butter in your life may help rid those bad habits.

Eat Veggie Chips Instead

6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me ShreddedI believe people are so used to just crunching on something. There’s this sweet satisfaction when you’re continuously chomping on a handful of chips.

Know that this a physiological habit and if you simply switch out the unhealthy chips for  veggie chips, you’ll reap all the benefits of losing weight.

Here’s why:

1 serving of veggie chips provides

28 chips

130 calories

Carbs: 15g

Fat: 7g

1 serving of classic lays chips provides

15 chips

160 calories

Carbs: 15g

Fat: 10 g

Protein: 2g

So as you can see you can eat MORE veggie chips and consume fewer calories.

Which ultimately means, you get more CRUNCH satisfaction.

Snack on deli meat

6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me ShreddedOne of my best-kept secrets to shredding is snacking on deli meat.

Why do I do this? Because it’s lean and convenient.

Now in no way do I replace this for fresh meat. If I can eat freshly cooked meat all day, I would! But my schedule doesn’t allow for that.

So whether it be a midday or a midnight snack, I’ll conveniently chomp on a serving of deli meat to stay on track with hitting my macros.

Use alternative peanut butter6 Unique Diet Hacks That Helps Keep Me Shredded

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll know that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are a staple of mine.

Regardless if I’m shredding or lean bulking, I must have a peanut butter jelly sandwich. It just keeps me sane. It keeps me from going crazy in a calorie deficit.

So when I came across peanut butter powder, I immediately had to buy it.

Peanut butter powder provides the following macros:

2 Tablespoons

50 calories

Protein: 5g

Carbs: 5g

Fat: 1.5g

Vs the traditional Peanut butter spread which provides these macros:

2 Tablespoons

188 calories

Protein: 8g

Carbs: 6.3g

Fat: 16.1g

Comparing the two you’ll notice the peanut butter powder provides significantly fewer calories per serving. The main reason being that the peanut powder is stripped from all the fats.

So have I thrown out my peanut butter spread entirely?

No, that would be crazy.

I still incorporate the spread every so often and I’ll utilize it even more so when I’m lean bulking.

This is the peanut butter powder that I use.
