Best Six Pack Ab Home Workout Routine (EASY)

If you want to build six pack abs in the comforts of your own home, then this workout routine was made for you

In today’s workout we’ll be going over a variety of the best ab exercises that you can do at home today. 

However, before we get to the actual workout routine, we will first go over each ab exercise that way you know exactly what you’re getting into. 

Six Pack Ab Home Workout Routine Exercises:

Mountain climbers

Mountain Climbers are a killer exercise that gets your heart rate up fast while triggering nearly every muscle group in your body including deltoids, biceps, triceps, chest, obliques, abdominals, quads, hamstrings and hip abductors.

Start in a pushup position with hands below your shoulders and your body in one straight line. Make sure your neck stays in line with your body. Quickly draw your right knee into your chest, and extend the leg back out as you drive your left knee to your chest. To raise your heart rate, run your knees in as fast as you can.

Mountain climbers twists are a great exercise that gets your heart rate up quickly while firing nearly every muscle group in your body including deltoids, biceps, triceps, chest, obliques, abdominals, quads, hamstrings and hip abductors.

Start in a push up position with hands below your shoulders and your body in one straight line. Make sure your neck stays in line with your body. Quickly draw your right knee in a twisting motion to your chest, and extend the leg back out as you drive your left knee in a twisting motion to your chest. To raise your heart rate, run your knees in as fast as you can.

Plank on Elbows

With your elbows bent 90 degrees and both forearms resting on the floor, position them directly underneath your shoulders.

Keep your legs straight and continue to hold for the given amount of time. As an alternative, you can have your knees on the floor.

Suicide Planks

Suicides provide the benefits of 2 different plank variations.

The primary muscles worked are your core, shoulders, triceps, and back.

Suicide planks mean keeping your core and quads tight, and your hips lifted. For stability’s sake, your feet (or knees) and arms (or elbows) should be shoulder-width apart. To keep your spine in a neutral position and avoid straining your neck, aim your chin about six inches in front of your body. Next, you’ll push yourself up to your hands and repeat the entire process.

Side Plank

Side planks help tone your shoulders, obliques, and legs from heel to hip. This move also strengthens the deep muscles of your low back, so it can help with lower back pain. Start on your side with your feet together and one forearm directly below your shoulder.

Contract your core and raise your hips until your body is in a straight line from head to feet. Hold the position. Repeat on the other side.

Flutters

Flutter kicks help strengthen the core muscles. The benefits of a strong core include improved posture, improved balance, and stability.

Lie on your back and extend your legs up to a 45-degree angle. Keep your arms straight and in line with the floor, palms facing down. Lift your head, neck, and shoulders slightly off the ground.

Keeping your legs straight with your toes pointed, start lowering one leg and raising the other. Repeat this motion while keeping your core engaged.
